I would actually WORK for $80,000 a year!

Big firms are now paying lawyers to take a year off. They get 1/3 of their annual salary! This is so nuts.

What would YOU do with $80,000 and a free year? Follow the NKOTB tour? Travel to exotic places? Plastic surgery?

    Ha. My friend is being paid her $80K to do public interest work in Rhode Island, where her boyfriend lives. If I get hired by my potential employer, for the full price, not some discounted, take-a-year-off salary, I still won't be making $80K.
