I completely agree that taxes should be fiscally neutral, thus my support for an income tax combined with a consumption tax. I also agree that the whole U.S. tax system is as complicated as the U.K. one. It is a result of our trying to create policy incentives (or disincentives) through the tax code, which can be a good thing, but it also throws the ideal of a fiscally neutral tax system completely out the window.
Every week we meet for breakfast to talk about whatever is on our minds, but sometimes we have more to say than what can fit into our family breakfasts.
